Coast Guard Auxiliary to Host Final 2026 “Boat America” Course

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 10-05

SUPPLY, NC — U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 10-05 (Southport/Oak Island/Shallotte) is scheduled to host its final 2026 beginner boating class. The upcoming “Boat America” course is designed to meet the North Carolina State Boating Safety Education Law requirement.

​The one-day foundational course is open to individuals ages 14 and older. Curriculum topics include watercraft nomenclature, required safety equipment, safe and legal operation, waterway navigation, emergency procedures, and additional essential boating guidelines. Participants who pass the exam receive a US Coast Guard certificate and card.

September 5, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Brunswick Electric located at 795 Ocean Hwy West / US 17, Supply.

  • Cost: $35.00 per person, or $30.00 eac h for two or more participants. Cash or check payment (credit cards are not accepted) at the door.
