MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Expanding its footprint beyond southeastern North Carolina, EmergeOrtho – Coastal Region has officially opened its first South Carolina location, bringing walk-in orthopedic urgent care and physical therapy services to the fast-growing Grand Strand.
Located at 1205 38th Avenue North, just off US-17 near Myrtle Beach High School. The new facility is designed to give residents and visitors rapid access to specialized musculoskeletal care without the long waits typically encountered in hospital emergency rooms.
“No one plans for an injury,” said Zachary Welch, Executive Director of EmergeOrtho – Coastal Region. “Whether it’s a pickleball injury, a workplace accident, a sprained ankle at the beach, a golf-related injury, or a child’s sports injury, patients deserve immediate access to orthopedic specialists. Our Myrtle Beach location helps patients receive the right care without the long waits that can often accompany emergency department treatment.”
The regional expansion coincides with a period of rapid demographic growth in Horry County, SC. The Census Bureau data shows the county’s population surged by more than 21% between 2020 and 2025, heightening local demand for accessible specialty healthcare.
The multi-service facility houses both an acute orthopedic urgent care clinic and a dedicated physical therapy center under one roof.
Operating on a walk-in basis, with an online “reserve your spot” option available, the urgent care team evaluates and treats non-life-threatening bone, joint, muscle, and sports injuries. Services include diagnostic imaging, splinting, bracing, and direct referrals for advanced care.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Scope of Care: Treats sprains, strains, fractures, joint dislocations, back and neck pain, and acute injuries across all major joints.
Physical Therapy Services
Operating by appointment, the rehabilitation clinic collaborates directly with EmergeOrtho providers to manage post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, and athletic rehabilitation.
