Columbus County Detention Center Blotter: August 3-4, 2026

The Columbus County Detention Center has released its latest booking data, covering arrests processed on August 3 and August 4, 2026.

Columbus County Bookings

  • Harry Lee Baldwin, 65, of Whiteville, was arrested by the Columbus agency on a charge of sexual battery. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond.

  • Kenneth Earl Benton, 68, of Whiteville, was booked for driving with a revoked license (not impaired revocation) and is currently serving a sentence.

  • Joseph Michael Britt II, 33, of Clarendon, was booked on a charge of defrauding a drug/alcohol test. He is being held with no bond.

  • Travis Ryan Brown, 40, of Whiteville, faces charges of misdemeanor larceny, obtaining property by false pretense, and possession of stolen goods. His bond was set at $250,000 secured.

  • Roy Dale Jones, 59, of Whiteville, was arrested by Tabor City police for simple assault. He was given a $10,000 secured bond.

  • Winston Boyd Leviner II, 47, of Conway, SC, was booked on a habitual felon charge. He was issued a $50,000 unsecured bond.

  • Michael Gunner McPherson, 25, of Tabor City, was charged with injuring a manufacturing facility. He received a $1,000 secured bond.

  • Christopher McPherson, 41, of Whiteville, was charged with littering greater than 500 lbs, carrying a $250,000 secured bond. He was also charged with second-degree trespass, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, all with secured bonds.

  • Don Travis Latra Stackhouse, 42, of Whiteville, was booked for giving, lending, or borrowing a license plate and driving with a revoked license. His bond was set at $500 secured.

  • Ruther Stevens III, 47, of Chadbourn, faces dozens of felony charges, primarily consisting of multiple counts of financial card theft, financial card fraud, and identity theft. He was issued several $2,000 and $10,000 secured bonds among the charges.

  • Lizandro Gamas Zapol, 24, of Ashboro, was booked for driving while impaired. He is currently serving a sentence.

  • Lamarious Bullock, 33, of Henderson, was charged with simple assault. He received a $2,500 unsecured bond.

  • Rominique Alex Drayton, 27, of Whiteville, was charged with a probation violation, resulting in a $50,000 secured bond. Drayton was also charged with violating a domestic violence protection order.

  • Christopher Deontoui Edwards, 33, of Tabor City, was booked under a writ.

  • Damon James Mullins, 51, of Riegelwood, was booked under a writ.

    Any individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
