Cerro Gordo Resident Facing 12 Felony Counts in Serial Break-In Ring

WHITEVILLE, NC — A 34-year-old man from Cerro Gordo has been linked to multiple property crimes across Columbus County following a targeted law enforcement operation.

Jonathan Andrew Rose, of 312 Gowans Vann Road, was arrested on the afternoon of July 27 at 1136 Old Lumberton Road in Whiteville by Deputy Travis E. Tyson. Official incident logs reveal that Rose was served with outstanding warrants detailing a string of residential break-ins.

Rose faces a total of 12 felony charges, including five counts of felony breaking and entering, five counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny, and one count of felony conspiracy. Authorities noted a 24-year-old male co-suspect was also served warrants at the same location for related misdemeanor larceny. Rose remains held at the county facility under a total secured bond of $70,000.

Any individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
