Evening search scenario planned around 6:45 p.m.

OAK ISLAND, NC — Oak Island Water Rescue will conduct a training exercise this evening in the vicinity of the East 49th Street beach access, beginning at approximately 6:45 p.m.
The drill will simulate a shoreline search scenario. Training signs will be placed near the access point to alert beachgoers and nearby residents. No operational impact to the public is expected, though brief activity may be visible along the beach strand.
