The Town of Leland, NC — The Parks and Recreation Board meeting will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Leland Town Hall, located at 102 Town Hall Drive. The public is invited to attend.
The agenda includes approval of minutes from the April 20, 2026 Special Meeting and the May 27, 2026 meeting, followed by board and staff introductions and the administration of the Oath of Office for Bess Blackburn, Sarah Kemp, and Edgar Robbins.
The board will conduct its annual election of a chair and vice chair, and a public comment period will be held. Proceedings, including public comment, will be live‑streamed and videotaped. Members of the public and media may also record at any time.
Discussion items include a PROS Plan update and introduction and a Loblolly Park update. Under old and new business, staff will review upcoming events. Board engagement topics include participation in the Founders Park Grand Opening and Sounds of Summer Concert Series on Friday, July 31 at 5:00 p.m.
The meeting also includes monthly staff, board, and committee reports, followed by scheduled safety training.
The next regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Board is set for September 23, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall.
