Family activities, live music, food vendors and a large‑scale duck race planned
MYRTLE BEACH, SC — The City of Myrtle Beach is inviting families to spend the day at the annual Myrtle Beach Duck Festival, set for Saturday, July 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Grand Park lake, 1119 Farrow Parkway in The Market Common.
The festival features live music, local food vendors, a live art exhibit, a jeep and truck show, and activities for all ages. Organizers describe the event as a full day of community spirit, friendly competition and family fun.
The signature attraction is the duck race, when thousands of rubber ducks are released into the lake and race toward the finish line. The race begins at 4:00 p.m., and participants can adopt a duck to support their favorite local nonprofit organization.
Each $10.00 duck adoption helps raise funds for groups that serve families, children and the community. Nonprofits also compete for additional prize funding and bragging rights based on race results.
