WHITEVILLE, NC — Columbus County Animal Protective Services is hosting a community-wide event, “Hotdogs and Cool Cats,” on Saturday, August 1, 2026, to bring families together to support our local shelter pets. These overly deserving dogs and cats are waiting to meet you and find their forever, you!
The festivities will take place at the Columbus County Fairgrounds, located at 886 Prison Camp Road, Whiteville from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The evening is designed to showcase these’ wonderful animals while providing a festive atmosphere for residents.
Event Highlights Include:

Adoption Showcase: Meet-and-greets with dogs and cats currently searching for their forever families.

Special Adoption Pricing: Take advantage of reduced adoption fees during the event, set at $65 for canines and $25 for felines.
