SUNSET BEACH, N.C. — The Sunset Beach Police Department is proud to share that Chief Ken Klamar has been re‑nominated and re‑elected to serve as the Region VI Regional Director for the North Carolina Association of Chiefs of Police (NCACP).
The NCACP, founded in 1976, works to strengthen professionalism, collaboration, and information‑sharing among law enforcement leaders across the state. It has grown into one of North Carolina’s largest and most influential law enforcement associations.
In his role as Regional Director, Chief Klamar represents nine counties — Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Cumberland, Hoke, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, and Scotland — on the NCACP governing body. His responsibilities include helping coordinate annual training opportunities, participating in legislative meetings in Raleigh, and serving as a key liaison between the association and agencies throughout the region.
Chief Klamar also contributes to statewide law enforcement standards through his service on the NCACP Training Committee and the North Carolina Training and Standards Basic Law Enforcement Advisory Board.
The Town of Sunset Beach is honored to have Chief Klamar representing our community at both the regional and state levels. We congratulate him on his continued leadership and his dedication to advancing excellence in law enforcement.
