HCFR crews help eight tiny “troopers” out of a storm‑drain misadventure
Horry County, SC — Eight ducklings took an unexpected detour near Station 20 in Scipio after waddling straight into a storm drain, leaving their very anxious mother pacing above and sounding the alarm.
Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR) crews arrived, made careful access to the drain, and lifted each little trooper back to safety. The ducklings were reunited with their mother, who by all accounts had plenty to say about the ordeal.
