Sheriff’s Office Seizes 107 Grams of Meth During Maco Road Traffic Stop
On June 18, 2026, a Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office investigation into methamphetamine trafficking led to the arrest of three individuals following a traffic stop on Maco Road. Agents with the Vice and Narcotics Unit, assisted by the Special Operations Unit and K‑9 teams, recovered approximately 107 grams (3.8 ounces) of methamphetamine during the operation.
Those arrested include:
- Billy Jack Sasser, 46, of Egret Road, Supply – Assault on a Law Enforcement Agency Animal – Trafficking Methamphetamine (2 counts) – Possession With Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Methamphetamine – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

- Grant W. Oehlert, 42, of River Road, Southport – Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine

- Brittany Taylor Mikulec, 35, of Sandy Bluff Drive, Supply —- Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine

Sheriff Brian Chism commended the coordinated efforts of the Vice and Narcotics Unit, Special Operations Unit, and K‑9 teams for their continued work to keep dangerous drugs out of Brunswick County communities.
