A Cerro Gordo man is facing a combination of felony drug charges and a probation violation after being booked into the Columbus County Detention Center this week.
William Colbey Carroll, of 838 Bullard Road, was arrested on warrants for Felony Probation Violation, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office.
The probation‑violation charge carried a $50,000 secured bond, while the methamphetamine charge added another $15,000 secured bond. The paraphernalia charge was listed as “Included in Oth.”
All charges are marked “Awaiting Trial.”
Felony probation violations in North Carolina typically result in immediate arrest and can lead to revocation of supervised release. Methamphetamine possession is a felony under state law and often triggers additional probation action
