Southport, NC — Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation reports a power outage affecting multiple power outages effecting 2,049 members in the Southport area this morning.
According to the cooperative, crews have been dispatched to assess the cause of the outage and begin restoration efforts. The strong fast-moving storm that come through earlier this morning is the cause of the mass outage and estimated restoration time have not yet been released.
Multiple stoplights out along Howe Street and NC211. Do expect delays, the Southport Police Department and Deputies working to assist these areas.
