On Friday, June 12, 2026, agents with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit conducted a brief investigation involving Larry Steven Oliver, culminating in a traffic stop that resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of methamphetamine.
Deputies with BCSO Road Patrol and K‑9 units assisted in stopping Oliver’s vehicle in the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 17, just south of the Longwood Road intersection. During the stop, investigators recovered approximately 83 grams-nearly 3 ounces of methamphetamine.
Oliver faces the following charges:
- Trafficking in Methamphetamine (3 counts) felony trafficking thresholds triggered by the quantity seized
- Possession With Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Methamphetamine
- Possession With Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Cocaine
- Maintaining a Vehicle for the Purpose of Keeping and Selling Controlled Substances (Felony)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office stated it remains committed to identifying, interrupting, and dismantling illegal narcotics distribution throughout the county.
