Conway, SC — As of 1:25 p.m., the woods fire in the Rodney Road area has been fully contained, with all structures protected. The fire grew to an estimated 46 acres. Smoke will remain visible, and firefighters will continue monitoring the area for flare‑ups.
At 9:58 a.m., Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported woods fire near Rodney Road and Berley MC Road in Conway, initially estimated at approximately 20 acres. The South Carolina Forestry Commission assisted with two plows. No structures were threatened during the incident.
Residents may continue to see smoke and fire‑service activity in the area for an extended duration.
