Moonlight Movies bring free Wednesday family night entertainment to Town Center Park
OIB, NC — The Town of Ocean Isle Beach Recreation Department is inviting families, neighbors, and visitors to settle in for another season of Moonlight Movies at Town Center Park. Each Wednesday evening, the park at 11 E. 2nd Street transforms into an outdoor theater, with films beginning at dusk, around 8:15 p.m.
Food trucks open at 6:00 p.m., giving moviegoers time to grab treats before the show. This year’s lineup includes Blondiez Donuts, Seaside Pop Co., and Chocolate & S’mores, joined by Sunset Slush and Vicki Paints Face Painting for added family fun ahead of the feature.
Visitors get a taste of what locals already know: mid‑week on the island has its own kind of magic. As the sun drops and the breeze picks up off the water, families spread blankets across the grass, golf carts line the edges of the park, and neighbors settle in for a relaxed night under the stars.
This summer’s movie schedule stretches from May 20 through August 12, with family‑friendly favorites each week:

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, low chairs, bug spray and plenty of company for a fun, family‑friendly evening. The event is free and open to the public.
