Most advisories lifted; select addresses remain under caution
Southport, NC — Brunswick County Public Utilities confirms that as of May 22, 2026, Southport residents outside of South Davis Street have safe drinking water. The boil water advisory issued earlier this month was lifted on May 13 for East Moore Street and North Atlantic Avenue after testing showed no contamination.
However, addresses 108–120 South Davis Street remain under a boil water advisory pending further water quality results.
Residents at these addresses should continue boiling water for at least one minute before use or rely on bottled water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene.
