Horry County, SC — Horry County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched at 3:51 p.m. May 16 to Radius Road in the Longs community after reports of a camper fire. When firefighters arrived, they found the camper heavily involved, with flames visible and smoke drifting across the surrounding area.
Firefighters quickly worked to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures or vegetation. The camper, however, was completely destroyed.
No injuries have been reported. One person has been displaced and will require temporary housing arrangements following the loss of the camper.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and officials have not yet released additional details about what may have sparked the incident.
