Tip leads Horry County deputies to Cabots Creek Drive residence where suspects were found concealed in laundry room
Horry County, SC — The Horry County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people last week after locating them hiding inside a Myrtle Beach home during a warrant check.
Deputies identified the individuals as Matthew Howard and Cassidy Yea. Howard was wanted on a probation violation, and Yea had three active bench warrants.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, East Precinct deputies received a tip that the pair was inside a residence on Cabots Creek Drive. When they refused to come out, deputies obtained consent to search the home. Howard and Yea were found concealed in the laundry room under a pile of clothes and blankets.
During a search of Howard, deputies recovered approximately 10.68 grams of methamphetamine and 1.78 grams of Xanax, officials said.
Both individuals were taken into custody without incident and transported to J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
In addition to his outstanding warrant, Howard is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine (2nd offense) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (1st offense).
